About this boat

A rare and highly versatile power catamaran, this 2007 Motorcat MC29 combines excellent stability, economical performance and surprisingly generous accommodation within a manageable 29-foot package. This well-presented example is powered by twin Evinrude 90hp E-TEC outboard engines, delivering a combined 180hp together with the manoeuvrability and added reassurance of twin-engine propulsion. Both engines have just been serviced and benefit from an excellent service history, reflecting the high standard of care and maintenance the boat has received. Designed by Jerry Kostanski and built in Poland by Bond Yachts/Motorcat, the MC29 features a shallow-draught GRP catamaran hull with positive foam flotation and a CE Category B offshore rating. Its twin-hull design provides excellent stability at rest, predictable handling and an impressively comfortable ride underway. Internally, the MC29 offers considerably more space than many conventional sports cruisers of a similar length. The bright, practical main saloon incorporates an internal helm position, four-person dinette and fully equipped galley, all positioned on one level with the aft cockpit. Forward is a private cabin with a generous double berth, wardrobe and useful storage. The convertible dinette provides additional sleeping accommodation, giving approximately four berths in total. A separate heads compartment includes a marine toilet, washbasin and shower. The exterior provides a self-draining cockpit, stainless-steel safety rails, secure side decks and easy access to the bathing platform and ladder. With its shallow hull draught, the MC29 is equally suited to coastal cruising, inland waterways, fishing, diving and extended weekends aboard. A distinctive and capable cruiser offering excellent interior volume, twin-engine security and economical running costs.
