About this boat

JEANEAU SUN FAST 3200 “AVIVA” – FOR SALE   “Aviva” is a very nicely presented Jeanneau Sun Fast 3200. Designed by Daniel Andrieu, built in the latter part of 2012 and launched in Spring 2013, this yacht is the R1 version of the 3200 but with the addition of a fixed bowsprit and asymmetric sail configuration. She has been lovingly cared for by her current owners and is well equipped for cruiser racing. The Sun Fast 3200 is benefitting from a renaissance as they are competitive under IRC, are comfortable performance cruisers, fast and manageable for short-handed racing, and frequently appear on the top steps of the racing podiums. This design provides effortless speed and is most definitely fun. Built usingresin infusion technology to ensure the best strength-to-weight ratios, the 3200 t isuniquely adapted to performance cruising and racing. The Sun Fast 3200 is particularlyimpressive while sailing off the wind but also has excellent form stability and ballast ratio forupwind stiffness. The twin rudder configuration provides excellent grip and control. This boat is simply anabsolute joy to sail. The 2023 IRC Rating for “Aviva” was a competitive 0.994 with a STIX of 38 which means she can compete in OSR Category 1 and 2 races (think Fastnet, Azores & Back etc).   PART-EXCHANGE OPPORTUNITY The Owners of “Aviva” love her and the boat ticks a lot of boxes, but they would now like to move up into something a bit bigger with a comfortable cruising interior but also a faster cruiser, they like performance. So, if you have a 36-40ft fast cruiser and are looking for a smaller more short-handed race orientated yacht, then maybe a chat would be a good way to see if a part-exchange deal is mutually viable.   ENGINE & MECHANICALS Engine throttle in the cockpit with removable handle Sound insulation for engine compartment Access via removable companionway Diesel engine Yanmar 2YM15 Saildrive 15 HP 2-blade folding propeller Fuel filter Raw water filter Anti-siphon gooseneck 75L roto moulded fuel tank 40AH Alternator The engine has 817 hours on it (January 2026) and was last serviced in 2025 Webasto diesel fired cabin heating system   SAILS all by NORTH 3DL main – OK for cruising 3Di main – almost as new 3DL J2 – Not great, but works 3Di J2/3 – Been used a lot, but still good shape 3DL J3 – Not sure, but probably not great 3Di J3/4 – Very good condition 3DL J4 – Large amount of repairs, we use it for cruising if its windy A2 – OK for cruising / heavy weather.  Has patches, but shape OKish A2 – Black … Almost as new A5 – OK for racing, no repairs Code 0 & furler – OK for racing Trysail – As new Storm Jib – As new  RIG Sparcraft twin spreader aluminium mast, deck stepped, with a wide shroud baseto outside of hull.
