About this boat

We are pleased to offer for sale this year 2000 Orkney Orkadian 20, powered by a 2018 Yamaha 70hp and with approximately 150 hours with good service history. This boat also has an unbraked launch trailer. This boat has 2 berths in single cabin as well as a separate heads compartment and a small galley. Pleasing to look at and pitched by the manufacturer as a smart and sturdy ‘pocket cruiser’, she is in currently in the water on a mooring on Hayling Island. The vendor informs us that he antifouled this boat in May 2026 - just before it was launched for the summer. Meon Blue is a nice example of this versatile motorboat built by a highly-regarded manufacturer. Designed to have good seakeeping qualities, predictable handling and be trailable, this class has generous beam and volume and a hull shape to provide a stable, dry ride in bad conditions. A reasonably deep forefoot with fine forward sections ensures a safe motion in heavy seas and clean underwater lines gives the potential for speeds over 20 knots (Max speed 27 knots). The vendor tells us that she is in great condition and comes with a 2018 Yamaha 70 Hp which runs perfectly, is very economical, and only has approx. 150 hours (at the time of listing and it is still being used).   What Motor Boating Monthly had to say about these boats: “The self-draining cockpit, which is of a good depth and extends the full beam of the boat, runs cleanly through into the wheelshelter – which offers full standing headroom and two single swivelling seats. The hull – with it’s distinctive simulated clinker-built topsides, is from the drawing board of Arthur Mursell – best known in connection with TT Boat Designs and the Nelson range. It is designed with a view to allowing reasonable speeds to be maintained in poor conditions. The Orkadian 20 is a smart, handsome little boat which offers great fun and versatility in true get-up-and-go style, whether you are out for just the day or weekending. The boat’s layout and proportions work well, and it shares all the practical features and robustness of its fishing-orientated sisters. With a choice of outdrive or outboard-powered offered, it was the most welcome entry into an underpopulated sector of the market.” Please don’t hesitate to call us or email us with your questions and to arrange your viewing. This boat is not with us and is on its berth in the water on Hayling Island. The vendor will do all viewings for this boat.   This is a new listing for us – we will soon be adding servicing and maintenance history to this advert.
